Welcome, Dana families!
I hope you all had a fun and safe summer and are as excited as we are to begin our school year.
For those families who are new to our school, we’re so happy to have you! If we have not met, I’m Kiana Clark, principal here at Dana. This will be my fourth year as principal at Dana and prior to that I was an 8th grade Social Studies and English Language Arts teacher. I am proud to say that this will be my twelfth year in the district and I am just as excited as I was for year one. Our school and district’s commitment to putting students first, with a focus on not only their academics but also their social-emotional well-being, is what drives me each and every year.
For all of our families, we’re thrilled to see the full return of our students. In order to do so safely, we will have COVID-19 safety policies in effect, so please be sure to familiarize yourselves with them here. Namely, all students are required to wear masks on our school sites. If possible, we ask that students carry a spare mask with them each day. We also encourage good handwashing practices and will have hand sanitizers readily available throughout our site. Thank you to each of you for your cooperation as we work to keep each other safe.
If you have not yet, I encourage you to check out our back-to-school page, which has all the information you might need, such as links to calendars, schedules, and resources, and information on our Back-to-School Night, start and end times, important dates, and more.
If you have additional questions, please don’t hesitate to contact our school site. We want to be sure you have everything you need to start the school year off right.
I look forward to seeing our students and families around campus. Let’s make this a great year at Dana!
